So it didn’t — they wandered to Tap House, a now-closed little corner of the city that will forever be part of their story. Soon, late-night FaceTime calls became a ritual, each one drawing them closer across the miles.
By January 31, 2021, Mason was done with waiting. He skipped the small talk and asked Chris to be his one and only. Chris said yes, and their life together quietly began.
On their first road trip together, a secret surfaced: Mason had actually reached out first on another app years earlier, though Chris had ignored the message.
